the high school au meme
1. Post with your character with their name and series in the subject line. Optionally: include a small description of what they're like in the AU. 2. Roll 1-19. or come up with your own scenarios. 4. Play out high school AU times.
1. first day Catch up with old friends, brave new teachers, fight your way through the sea of students, and hope you're in the right classroom. Oh, you're the new kid. Well, that's okay as long as you've got more than enough summer vacation anecdotes to fill ten pages of Times New Roman size 12, single-spaced.
2. first period You're gonna be late! Or are you already there? Class hasn't started just yet, so chat it up or copy your classmate's homework before the teacher gets here.
3. lesson proper You're probably diligently taking notes, looking out the window daydreaming or reciting in class, much to your teacher's delight - or dismay. Try not to be too obvious when counting down the minutes and pass that note as discreetly as possible.
4. faculty Have a bone to pick with your terror math teacher. A crush on the cute chemistry teacher? There might be something you want to ask your homeroom teacher about. In any case, you plan on seeing a faculty member today. Or maybe they plan on seeing you!
5. lunch break Man, you are starving. Hopefully, today's menu has something good. If the crowded cafeteria's not your thing, try the rooftop.
6. hooky One of you is skipping class. You should try talking them out of it if that's your thing.
7. detention What on earth did you do to get this? Oh well. Detention can't be that bad when you've got all these very nice, approachable model students around to talk to.
8. p.e. Baseball, basketball, dodgeball - no matter the sport, just remember: you are the star. It's you. At least, you hope it is.
9. home ec. Sewing! Cooking! ... Try not to burn the school down!
10. lab work Frog dissections! Explosions!
11. school fair/festival Every school has one of these. What's your class doing this year?
12. theater Oh boy, oh boy, being the star of this play is your dream. It isn't? Oh. You're still helping with the props and costumes, right?
13. library If you need to look something up or just want some peace and quiet, this is the place. Whatever you do, shh, people are trying to read.
14. bully Whether they take the form of Nelson Muntz or Regina George, if you choose to meet them at the gym at four o' clock or else, be ready to face the consequences... or maybe you don't have to. Not when someone's here to help you out. (This can go either way - one of the participants can be the bully or someone helping the victim.)
15. tutor You're having trouble with a class or you're trying to make up for the days you were absent. It's a good thing someone was nice enough to offer their assistance.
16. clubs Assuming that you actually have one. Are you writing for the school paper? Part of the student council? The marching band? Maybe you're a member of one of those weird occult clubs or something...
17. prom Do you have a dress? A date? Who are you voting for prom king? Is being on prom committee is driving you crazy? Do you even care?
18. graduation Well, it was fun while it lasted. It's time to say those last words, settle those scores and get ready to grow up.
19. roll again/make your own scenario ( from here ) |

I'm not going t-
...
Is thing some kind of backwards flirting?
[He's very confused. Especially since what Colin is doing is effectively just pressing them closer together since Toska has no intention of letting go of his
preyfriend right now.]1/?

Oh come on, don't be like that. I'm just teasing you. And I don't have any money on me anyway.
If I let you go will you promise to get me ice cream? I won't even ask for a double-scoop. [That's a lie and they both know it.]
no subject
[You are a lying butt, Toska, don't make promises you can't keep.]
You're not getting anything from me after that little stunt.
no subject
Well then, I just won't let you go.
[Snuggles are happening instead. So there.]
no subject
Stop it! You're messing up my hair.
[Wait, that didn't sound very manly.]
And more importantly you're getting your stink all over me!
no subject
no subject
[Because hugs and snuggling aren't what two heterosexual men engage in, apparently.]
no subject
[Hey it takes a man very comfortable with his heterosexuality to snuggle and love on another man okay.
Of course the fact that Toska's done worse does make one wonder.]
Becaaaause you don't smell like anything and I want you to smell like something. And I like my smell. [No he does not realize how wrong that sounds.]
no subject
...
[He's gonna need a few years to fully process that, but in the meantime, he's just going to give Toska the good old 'you are living scum' look.]
Get off me, you weirdo. I don't want people talking.
[If people just said he was into dudes, that'd be fine, however people saying he's into Toska is so far over the line it's in another state.]
no subject
And since Sela got expelled I don't have anyone else to snuggle. You're also very hug-shaped. [Don't even ask him what that means.] Why is your hair so neat, anyway? Do you straighten it? Are you gonna have to straighten it again?
no subject
[Nope. He can't handle this. I mean, he couldn't handle being shipped with anyone but if it was a certain girl he'd be a little more okay with it but still completely embarrassed - ah, time to stop thinking. Just get up and let yourself be pushed, Colin.]
My hair is neat because I brush it. Maybe you should try it sometime. [Brushing your own hair, Toska, don't come near his luscious locks.]
no subject
[And then he gives Colin an exaggerated odd look as if brushing his hair is the weirdest thing that's ever been suggested.]
I'm pretty sure human hair isn't supposed to be as neat and straight as yours. You should let me mess it up more, you look good right now! Like a rebel!
no subject
[He doesn't really believe that, but he needs to be a sassy bitch from time to time in order to keep his self-esteem up.]
Ugh, I look like a clown. [Frantic smoothing, go! He'd die if anyone else saw him like this.] Thank-you, Toska, for your help. Now never touch me, again.
no subject
Awwwwwwww~!! [Just for that he's going to rub his chin across Colin's hair again. Hah he wins.
Well, then he helps Colin pat his hair down, but he's very happy to be able to smell something on him now.] After we get ice cream we can go find you a comb or something. Does that sound good to you?
no subject
[He's only won the battle; Colin will win the war. After he brushes his hair and takes a bleach bath, of course. The redhead just scowls as he's touched yet again, however he'll let it slide this time, just because Toska really does seem to be doing a good job.]
You don't have to come with me to find a comb. Just eat your ice cream and go to class. You might actually learn something for once.
no subject
School's boring. [He shrugs.] I'd rather stay out for the day. And I like hanging out with you. And if you get rid of all that smell who else is gonna be there to make sure you smell like something?
[Toska you're not helping your case.]
Mostly I just wanna hang out with you a little longer. Better than doing it in school, right?
no subject
[BREATHE IN and a finger waved right in Toska's face.]
Is that really what you want? Regardless, I'm not going to allow you to throw away your life, even if I have to carry you all the way back to school by myself.
[But please don't make him carry you.]
no subject
You can't pick me up.
...
And anyway, I don't need to work at a gas station, Sela's gonna open up a pawn shop. I can help her with that. Or become a writer. Or a criminal. Maybe I'll build robots. Anyway, I don't need kids, Sela doesn't like them near her.
[Slowly raises a brow at him.] If you're so worried about me you can always marry me and let me inherit your money when you die.

Hey, wait! [Here he goes chasing after Colin again. He wonders if this is going to become a habit.]
Was that too sudden? Did I scare you? I'm sorry if I scared you. Can you slow down for a minute?
no subject
chase after me, toska-senpai!Hopefully not, since while Colin is certainly skinny, he's not built to move quickly for long periods of time.]Wouldn't it be better to assure me you're teasing yet again?
[He tosses a scowl over his shoulder and keeps on marching.]
Asking if it's too sudden makes it sound- Ugh, forget it.
[Keep thinking of vanilla ice cream and sprinkles, Colin. Everything's gonna be alright.]
